Let’s celebrate No Mow May with this tribute to this much despised dandelion that is also so welcoming and useful.

I entirely endorse this wonderful article. We have linnets that visit only at this time of year to feed on the parachute seeds and the bees feast on the pollen. Let them be (e)!
My 2 year old loves dandelion clocks, I don’t know if it’s just a Scottish thing but the seeds are called fairies here. I normally leave them for the bees but might have to pull up some of them because they’re becoming a bit too prolific.

Blowing dandelion clocks is one of childhood’s great pleasures!

I quite agree, with both not mowing and leaving dandelions. xx

If we could all just let them flower once properly and then seed before starting mowing there would be so much more life!

Love the dandelions – spring alpine pastures (spellchecker wants pastries!!) glowing golden just because of these beautiful “weeds”.
